2008 Toyota Supra Turbo: Why They Should Make a New Toyota Supra

May 27th, 2008 | by admin |

Ever since they stopped making the Toyota Supra back in 2002, people across the world have hoped that they’d eventually create a new Toyota Supra. This car, particularly the Toyota Supra Turbo version, has only grown in popularity since it was discontinued. Although there were rumors and hopes for a 2008 Toyota Supra, nothing has come on the market just yet.

The History of the Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra is one of the most loved sports cars out there. Built from 1979 to 2002, it left a gap in the market after being discontinued. Even new drivers continue to take an interest in the Toyota Supra Turbo which has been regularly featured on car video games and movies about car racing.

Rumors about a New Toyota Supra

There have been rumors about a new Toyota Supra ever since the car was first discontinued. People have hinted that the new Toyota Supra will be either a V8 or a V10 model. It would be a fast, high-priced sports car intended to impress the market that still loves the Toyota Supra Turbo.

No 2008 Toyota Supra

Although everyone had hoped that this new Toyota Supra would be a 2008 release, that isn’t to be the case. Toyota issued a press release in 2006 stating that they had no intention of making a 2008 Toyota Supra. However, the company did not definitively say it would refuse to revive the Toyota Supra so there remain some hopes that a new version of the Toyota Supra Turbo could still hit the market one day.
